Organizing Committee 56. of the “Igrajte nam mužikaši” festival, announces a competition for new compositions that will be performed on June 2, 2024 at the “IGRAJTE NAM MUŽIKAŠI – BEDEKOVČINA 2024” music festival.
Music groups and soloists with a line-up that they arrange themselves will perform live the compositions that the Festival Jury will select from among the entries for this competition.
The compositions must be:
- In the spirit of Zagorje folk melos
- In the rhythm of polka or waltz
- Kajkavian text (or with elements of Kajkavian)
- The duration of the song is up to 3.30 minutes
- Authors and performers waive copyrights for performance at the festival, for radio and TV broadcast-recording, and for the common festival sound and image carrier, and authors and performers retain all other copyrights.
Application method:
- The text of the song and a work recording with information about the authors of the music, lyrics and arrangement and the names of the performers should be sent by the 20th. April 2024 year at the address Municipality of Bedekovčina, Trg Ante Starčevića 4, 49221 Bedekovčina or via e-mail at festival@bedekovcina.hr .
- The Festival Jury will review and listen to the received songs and select the repertoire for the festival.
- The costs of recording the songs, chosen by the festival jury, will be co-financed by the Organizer (up to 300 euros). The organizers will 15. May 2024 to publish and present through their websites all finally selected compositions according to the decision of the Festival Jury.
