Nature lovers of various ages and interests with the aim of education, recreation, raising the level of ecological awareness as well as for the preservation of valuable habitats and taxa and the overall prosperity of the local community through sustainable tourism. Due to all of the above, the desire is to present these exceptional natural values ​​and beauty, as well as interesting things from the history of this region, to the general public. Along the path, 11 educational boards with information about plant cover, animal life, fossil and mineral wealth and other interesting things of the wider area of ​​Strahinjščica were placed in order to emphasize the value and importance of that area.

The project will develop new educational contents as well as additional tourist infrastructure, which will ensure a more appropriate valorization of resources, and through specialized programs and educational workshops, new motives for visitors to nature will be generated. In addition to visitors, the investment will have a positive impact on the local population as well as civil society, which will build a more responsible awareness of the importance of protecting and preserving the forests of their region through the new facilities on the trail.

The public institution for the management of protected areas of nature in the Krapina-Zagorje County, in cooperation with the Radoboj Municipality, organizes the event “Orchid Days” every year in May with the aim of raising public awareness of the need to protect nature and the importance of the coexistence of man and nature.

The program consists of interesting lectures and workshops and a tour of the “Orchid Paths” hiking trail in Strahinjčica, where in the month of May you can see over 15 species of orchids and numerous other plant and animal species.
